I Am Not A Po3t

Mandika Flow is my alter-ego spoken words mistress. I was recently fortunate enough to begin putting my voice to tracks and becoming a part of a huge project under the creativity of Tshombe Harris (The Truth Theory) entitled "I Am Not A Po3t". Dika Flow is nobodies poet

I have to laugh as my thoughts are

you've been slipped a shaft if I have impressed

upon you, finessed or addressed you into illusions somehow

that I am a poet

Although my voice tends to wander into prose with some rhyme

My face is my storyline every time my soul joneses

As u sip on vibes like wine getting high on a lyrical dime piece

But I am not a poet although my heart shows me up to be a liar

And teeth gleam like one... sometimes...it start as a song, little

Caramel glaze drizzles from pens, pouring just enough over

Lines, words penetrated; react with the same noise over fingers

That hit the right spot on skin stretched across blades

My ink splashes like jazz on swing pages before I know

it I'm scatting like Natalie Cole...why I'm like a vituoso

rhythmic impresario

a verbal satin doll

like Ella Fitzgerald

and Lena Horne

smoooth and mellow like

Make ya wanna hollah

Someone will calls my name saying "you know it" then I'm out-ted

You ain't got to tell me twice, harder than plexi-glass to control

I paces myself though, with a shy grin I take my bows, say thank you

Grab the mike; twirl her between my fingers then behind my back

Prolific majorette skilled with her baton, setting fire to speakers

Illuminated so you see who's dealing the high yellow blow

Miles Davis blow with an Al Jarreau chaser

But I'm not a poet... just leave my fingerprints in a fine smoke residue
